Karl Wolfgang Klingler
Karl Wolfgang Klingler was born in Bremen in 1952.Playing the cello was the beginning of his way as a musician. His concentration on this instrument was accompanied by Prof. Paul Zingel und Prof. Rudolf Metzmacher.
Already at the beginning of the 1970s he attended singing lessons given by Prof. Claus Ocker. Furthermore he worked with Prof. Erich Böhlke, Prof. Carol Richardson and Sabine Poensgen.
Not until the 1980s he decided to follow the old musical tradition of his family (Klingler quartet II) and addressed himself completely to singing in 1986. Becoming a free-lanced singer he was a member of the Staatstheater in Oldenburg during the playing time in 1991/92.
Since 1992 he performs recitals with german lieds regularly.
