Peter Vettermann
Peter Vettermann was born and grew up in the german mountain area called Erzgebirge.He studied at the Rostock conservatory and at the conservatory in Weimar.
Final examination as bandmaster in 1960. Engagements at different theatres in Plauen/Vogtland, Halle/Saale and at the “Komische Oper” in Berlin with Professor Walter Felsenstein. Besides his work at the theatre he regularly worked as a lied accompanist, e.g. in th east german series of chamber music called "Stunde der Musik".
Relocation to Hungary in 1972, music teacher in Gyóngýos, at the Miskolc conservatory; besides bandmaster at the national theatre in Miskolc.
Since 1977 living in the Federal German Republic and working at the opera of Hannover, since 1978 as director of the choir at the Staatstheater in Oldenburg.
